Our History
For over 110 years our church has sought to share the truth, hope and love of Jesus with people in Ravenna, Portage County, and beyond. From its humble beginning in 1913 with two families meeting in a private home, the church has grown through multiple locations in the city including our current home here on New Milford Rd. We continue to look to the future and build on the legacy of the faithful Christ followers who came before us.

Tod Huston
Sr. Pastor
I’ve been married to my wife Wendy for almost 38 years. Wendy and I
are lifelong Ohioans which includes our 28+ years in pastoral ministry as a worship pastor and now as a senior pastor. It has been my privilege to serve here in Ravenna since 2018.
We have three adult children (a son and 2 daughters), two granddaughters, and a Corgi dog named Winston. Outside of ministry I enjoy playing golf, love to bike with my wife, and I love to run-usually logging close to 1000 miles each year. My love of running has even made me crazy enough to complete nine full marathons and numerous half marathons. My wife and I began our adult lives as music educators so, when we can, love to connect to our community and schools as performers and private teachers.
Athena Edwards
Student & Family Ministries
I began attending the FCOG in 1987 and have been privileged to serve in children and
youth ministries since 1994. In 2021, I left my career as an Occupational Therapy
Assistant to serve as the Student and Family Ministry Director. My heart’s desire is to
strengthen the foundation of faith in our kids, teens and families.
My husband Dave and I have three married children and three grandchildren. We
treasure time with our family and especially enjoy sitting around a campfire with them.
Besides being with family, I love to be creative, putter around the house and be in
nature. My favorite dessert is chocolate brownies with chocolate icing and the color
purple makes my heart sing.
Isaac Winland
Worship Director
I am originally from Sistersville, WV and hold degrees in music from Marshall University, The University of Akron, and The Ohio State University. Additionally, I have a graduate certificate from Cedarville University in Worship Leadership. Along with being the Worship Director at FCOG, I am an active musician in Northeast Ohio and a member of the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra and Ashland Symphony Orchestra.
With my wife (April) and daughter (Ellie), I have been serving at FCOG since Summer of 2023. My wife and I also welcomed a new baby girl at the end of 2024. (Olive) I am also a huge Cleveland sports fan and enjoy golfing in my spare time.
